Blood Glucose Test
Blood glucose test is used to screen the sugar level in your body. Normal blood glucose level (while fasting) range
within 70 to 99 mg/dL (3.9 to 5.5 mmol/L). Higher ranges could indicate
pre-diabetes or diabetes.
How should you prepare?
If you are asked to fast, you can’t eat anything
for 8 to 10 hours before the test. You should drink only water. Fasting tests are more common because they provide more accurate
results and are easier to interpret.
If you
are not asked to fast, you can take any time. This type of test is called as
random blood glucose test.
